The only difference between news content  and ordinary content is that news content is based on time. Click "Edit Page Property", and enter "Page Directory Property" tab you will find the "Type" property where you can choose "Time based Content". Time based content is for news and blogs. When your page was set to "Time Based Content", the contents you added to the page will be displyed in time reverse order. The newly added content will be displayed in first.

Rest of the work is identical to ordinary content. You can edit your content by TinyMCE editor like what you do with Office Word. For multimedia, online map, online doc and free code content, the user interfaces are self explained.
